Postcards from Dhanushkodi • Dhanushkodi lies at the end of land in Tamilnadu, flanked by the Gulf of Mannar and seen from above, it looks as if it is gently extending an arm to the island of Sri Lanka. Once a bustling town, it was wiped out by a devastating cyclone in 1964. What remains now are broken churches, abandoned railway tracks, and skeletal ruins holding on to memory. The land meets the sea here with an eerie calm, as if time itself has slowed down. Fisherfolk go about their lives, quietly weaving the present into the ghost of a once-thriving town. It’s beautiful, raw, and strangely peaceful.
