Text by Bob Temple ([cf2]Definicisn[cf1])/Chris Kreie ([cf2]El lanzador[cf1]). Also translated by Susana Schultz. Berk deals with a newcomer who takes his position as goalie on the soccer team ([cf2]Definicisn[cf1]). Allen struggles to pitch a winning game while his famous uncle is in the hospital fighting for his life ([cf2]El lanzador[cf1]). The cartoony black-and-white illustrations don't add much, but the Spanish texts are acceptable. These low-level chapter books should appeal to struggling readers.
