In the delightful Tik-Tok of Oz, readers join Betsy Bobbin, Glinda the Good, Shaggy Man and the Rose Princess in their quest to find Shaggy's lost brother. On the way they encounter Ann Soforth—the Queen of Oogaboo—who plans to conquer the Land of Oz. But when Ann learns of Ruggedo the Nome king's great wealth, her plans change, and the queen and her army instead travel to the Nome Kingdom to claim their plunder. Led by Tik-Tok himself, the group of adventurers must outwit Ruggedo and Ann to restore peace and harmony to the Land of Oz.
The first edition of Tik-Tok of Oz contained maps of the Land of Oz—the first to ever be printed. The 1993 novel Queen Ann in Oz (written by Karyl Carlson and Eric Gjovaag) is a sequel to Tik-Tok of Oz.
