PreS-Gr 1-Nursery rhymes take center stage in this charming "look and find" book targeted at younger audiences. Each scene introduces a new rhyme and asks readers to find something on the page, such as the "little piggy that went to market" or "the child who had her cake and ate it, too." Adding to the fun, each of these characters continue to appear on every succeeding spread, which makes the finding just a tad more challenging. The text culminates by showing an open book with the characters lounging in and around it, with the simple instruction to "find your favorite!" Debut children's book illustrator Sheehan's beautifully rendered visuals are done in graphite and gouache and then digitally colored. The spare narrative allows for the artwork to dominate, which is as it should be. VERDICT This work is perfectly suited to the nursery rhyme crowd. A definite purchase for all picture book collections.-Amy Nolan, St. Joseph Public Library, St. Joseph, MI
