Michael Coon provides a steady and reasonably enthusiastic reading of practical advice on how to shift into one's retirement years. Like the other books in the Everything series, this is an encyclopedia of ideas, action steps, and issues to consider. In audio format, the program's almost stream-of-consciousness organization will be frustrating for listeners needing a sequential framework, especially with a topic as broad as this, which includes budgeting, record keeping, part-time career planning, lifestyle management, travel and hobby preferences, Social Security decisions, nutrition, estate planning, home ownership, health maintenance, relationship management, investing, and tax planning. In the audio format, the advice is comprehensive, but it comes across as an overwhelming buffet, rather than a digestible dining experience. T.W. (c) AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine
